Summary: Nothing costs more or can interrupt productivity more in an employee and nothing can undermine a customer's confidence in a company more than the frustration of computer "application" or "hardware" failure and other misunderstood company policies. Regardless of the reason for confusion or failure, a "help desk" customer service representative who understands that frustration and can apply empathy, patience, and eventual resolution is the "behind-the-scenes" grease that best addresses what is a communication gap.
